I think that humans
gets fascinated by the unknown due to our instincts. Under our instinct,
animals have curiosity due to it wanting to find out if the new organism or
object to determine if it contains any hostility or it is safe to spend time
with it. The same thing goes with humans. When we think about aliens, we would
want to get the most information out of it as possible. Note that many people
will feel a slight thrill or be frightened by mysterious things. That is also
due to instinct as well. A animal will be curious, yet cautious, about a new
object or creature showing up in its territory. Take the Bermuda triangle as an
example, people have made countless documentaries about the triangle since
ships started disappearing in the region, and I can never turn away a
documentary like that and always end up watching it and not doing my homework.
